VIDEO: Boost Your Vibration in 24 Hours — Gratitude Exercise

If I asked you where is your vibration right now, could you answer me? Do you know exactly what level you are vibrating right now?

Knowing and managing your vibration is key to not only feeling good (and who doesn’t want that?!) but to lining up with your desires so they flow easily to you, and becoming aware of the signs and synchronicities the Universe, your guides and angels are sending to you to point you in the right direction!

Odds are you have heard about the power of gratitude at this point, and maybe you even have a gratitude journal of your own. But how are you at maintaining your gratitude AND a high vibration throughout your day?

In this video, I share an exercise to help you do both!

7 Reasons Why Every Day of the Week Matters

By Dr. William Constantine

The majority of us are so busy starting the week saying, “Is it Friday, yet?” that the rest of the week drags because we essentially strapped giant boulders to our legs as we try and “make it through.” Doing this sets the intention the week will be a struggle, and we are not even conscious of it.

However, we don’t have to let this be our routine anymore. We can follow a spiritually invigorating theme week instead, and in doing so, feel energized and revitalized – not only on Friday, but on Monday too! Yes, that’s right, I said the bad word – Monday. No longer will we have to have “Manic Mondays.” Let’s spiritually evolve our week and mindset towards something new.

Manifestation Mondays – This is the day where you set the intention – the outlook you seek for the end of the week. When dealing with intention, it’s important to deal in terms of feelings. When phrasing your intention, emotionally charge it with trigger words that fire you up.

“It’s another *$%# Monday,” doesn’t set the right intention, and you will undoubtedly create a “dreaded Monday.” Instead, set the intention that on Friday you will be “refreshed and renewed knowing I have fully contributed and loved openly, listened fully, and experienced all life had to offer.”

Totally different experience already, right? That is a week you want to start! As an artist puts a brush to a blank canvas, so do you at the start of every day.

Thankful Tuesdays – Today is dedicated to find things you are thankful for from the previous day. Trust me, there is always something to be thankful for, whether it’s an interaction with another, an experience, something you witnessed, a smile, etc. Take this experience you are thankful for and feel blessed because now this becomes your outcome of that day. It changes your focal point of the pervious day.

Taking it one step further, incorporate this philosophy throughout the rest of the week – until Sunday and then repeat.

Wizardly Wednesdays – This is your power day, as it is the day your realign and affirm you are on target for your intention. It’s the day you get real with yourself and your ability to manifest your day-to-day, moment-to-moment reality, and if you are holding on to “crap” from earlier in the week – it’s time to RELEASE and SURRENDER.

If you are holding on to something ask yourself, “What did I learn?” or “How did this make me better?”

Transcendent Thursdays – This is the day of reflection on the week’s outcomes so far. Look at how you have grown from life’s lessons, and how it has brought you closer to where you want to be. Today, you revel in the gold nuggets you have been collecting since “Thankful Tuesday,” and you sit with them. Notice how you feel as you awaken to the possibility of you.

Fruitful Friday – The tree bares fruit on this day as you experience your intention from Monday come into reality, but do not forget to be present and to continue the process. This is what life can truly be like – free and abundant – as long as your focusyou’re your intentions are pure.

Now, on Friday, you want to truly acknowledge the success of the week and your manifestation skills with a “pat on the back.” Whether you buy yourself lunch, new clothes, or something for the house – treat yourself for a manifestation well done.

Satisfaction Saturday – A free day to experience all you created and to enjoy life knowing you did so. This will continue your “pampering” yourself by allowing yourself to be free and do something you enjoy doing.

Soulful Sunday – Today you give back to the essence of you – your soul. This is a day, where you focus on giving yourself a spiritually fulfilling experience; a walk in the park, meditation on a mountaintop; or attending a sermon or lecture from a spiritual guru. At the end of Sunday, you come into alignment with what you wish to set for the intention the following week.

When you set your week up like this, life is an enjoyable journey, which is intended to be. You sit at the helm, holding the creative license to that which you will become. You’ll notice how much more freedom you’ll experience outside of stress and anxiety.

Editor’s Advice: Gratitude & “The Magic” Book

Recently I accompanied a friend on a trip to the local library, and while I was waiting for her to check out, a book jumped out at me from a nearby shelf. Written by the author of the best-selling book “The Secret,” this book was called “The Magic,” and I had been meaning to review it for Elevated Existence. It was surrounded by books in all different categories, and since I know there are no accidents, I picked it up, handed it to my friend and asked, “Can you add this to the books you are taking out?”

I’ll admit, it sat in a pile on my desk for a while, and I finally picked it up because I knew it was due back soon at the library. I realized the book offered an introduction of about 20 pages, and the remainder was broken up into 28 chapters – each offering a new gratitude exercise to be done consecutively over the next 28 days. Knowing the act of gratitude immediately raises our vibration, and activates the law of attraction to bring us more of what we are grateful for – I decided to give it a try!

I even called a friend and asked if she wanted to it with me. I said, “What is there to lose. If we concentrate on gratitude consistently for 28 days, something good has to come from it.” She agreed, and told another friend, so the three of us embarked on this journey of gratitude. What we discovered is … this gratitude stuff works!!

The exercises range in topics from health and career, to money and relationships – each day applying a specific gratitude exercise in one of these areas. And it didn’t take long to start seeing results!

Within the first week, my friend did a relationship exercise where you find three pictures of people you want to improve your relationship with and find five things to be grateful about them specifically. She chose someone she was estranged from, but missed. That afternoon, out of the blue, the friend contacted her to get together!

Here are some other things we noticed in the 28 days:

  • I got unexpected checks in the mail totaling more than $500
  • My relationships improved immensely with those who I concentrated on during the practice
  • One friend got free products in the mail – a coffee maker and coffee grinder – both things she had on her list to buy, but they just showed up for free
  • One friend was concerned with how she was going to pay for a party she was giving her child, and she got a temporary job opportunity that lasted three days – just enough to pay for what she needed.

These are all exciting things, but honestly, the best part of consistently going back to gratitude is this – you begin to feel good about every area of your life. Things that would have bothered you in the past don’t seem to faze you anymore, and even when you face a disappointment, you bounce back much quicker than before. Gratitude has the ability to instantly pull you up – it lifts your vibration, your heart, your mind and your soul. To me, there is no unexpected check or free product that can even come close to that.

The three of us who started this experiment recently started round 3 of our 28 days – and we have been joined by many others through word-of-mouth. I wanted to share this with all of you loyal readers, in hopes that you might give gratitude a bigger role to play in the theater of your life. This book is certainly a way to start.

Blessings, love & gratitude,

Developing a Gratitude Ritual

By: Keri Nola, MA, LMHC

Gratitude is the single most important tradition of our lives. It welcomes a kind of peace and joy in our hearts that only grace knows. Contrary to popular belief, gratitude isn’t just a feeling – it is an experience that we cultivate through intentional daily practice.

Choosing to mindfully engage in a gratitude ritual prepares and trains us to be able to access love and light even in the darkest of times. So on those days when gratitude is the last thing on our minds or in our hearts, maybe we’ll allow ourselves to practice gratefulness for a moment and see how this experience realigns us with our Divine selves and our birth rights of infinite love, peace, joy, health and abundance.

If the idea of a daily gratitude ritual is new for you, I recommend Four Simple Steps (acronym B.A.R.E.):

1)      Breathe – Close your eyes and take a deep intentional breath, inhaling peace and calm and exhaling tension, struggle and fear. Hold this step until you feel grounded and centered to move onto step 2.

2)      Awaken Awareness – Allow yourself to meditate on what is true in the present moment. Become aware of each NOW moment.

3)      Recognize Blessings – Name one or more blessings that come to your awareness in this moment. Let your senses be your guide. What do you see, hear, feel, taste and/or smell that generates an experience of gratitude for you right now?

4)      Emotions Flow – Allow the emotions to flow as the naming of your blessings translates into an experience of feeling and enjoy the integration as your gratitude travels from the cognitive awareness of your head space into the emotional awareness of your heart space.

As indicated in the steps above, there is a mindfulness about gratitude that takes time to establish. It isn’t simply about saying “thank you,” but rather about the combination of acknowledging our blessings AND feeling grateful in our hearts.

The ultimate goal is to integrate the thought of gratitude in our heads with the feeling of gratitude in our heart center because it is when this feeling awakens that our vibration shifts and we begin to draw more blessings into our lives than we could ever dream possible!

Perhaps you’ll create a gratitude journal where you’ll capture your gratefulness, or maybe you’ll gather with a community of friends to co-create a sacred space for sharing. Or maybe you prefer to just hold the experience in your heart. Whatever you decide, be sure to personalize your gratitude ritual to meet your own needs as you discover what resonates with you over time.

Are you ready for the challenge? Ready, set, blessed!

Editor’s Advice: 5 Ways to Start Your Day in a Positive Light

We asked our Facebook friends to share some of their morning
routines used to start the day in a positive way, and we got some great ideas – from welcoming in spirit guides to watch over us during the day to doing the five Tibetan rites. But find it’s hard enough to just get out the door on time!

I’m guilty of failing into that trap myself – I want to get up early and meditate, but when the alarm goes off, it’s just too tempting to hit the snooze button! However, I know when I do make the effort, it always pays off. So here are just a few things that can be easily incorporated into even the most busy lifestyle … and if you can manage to squeeze in 15 minutes of meditation, all the better!

— Begin with Gratitude. Take a couple of minutes after you wake up to lay in bed and make a mental list of five things you are grateful for that morning. Send gratitude and thanks to the people or situations involved, and if you are really running late, you can make the mental list while in the shower or while you’re getting dressed. It will put you into the mode of gratitude, and that is the best place to start attracting for the day!

— Start your day with inspiration. For five minutes, sit and read through a positive book or passage – short stories or books with quotes or passages per day work really well (or read through one of the free articles on our Web site!)

— Move the Body. Get your energy flowing with a few yoga poses or sun salutations to connect your mind, body and spirit, or as one of my favorite author’s and teachers, Sonia Choquette, recommends – turn on some music and just dance to ground your spirit in the body! Short on time? Dance while you’re brushing your teeth!

— Ask for Assistance. We have all heard the phrase, “ask and you shall receive,” but how many of us actually ask? Often we are so caught up in our everyday lives, problems and challenges, that while we are busy trying to solve them with our mind, we forget to call on the higher power of spirit. Before you get up from bed, take 60 seconds to picture yourself surrounded by white light, and ask your higher self, and whatever higher power you believe in, to protect you and assist you in all you face that day. And then trust that you will receive that assistance!

Meditate or Practice Breathing Exercises. Ideally, most experts recommend we take at least 20 minutes out of our morning routine to quiet the mind through meditation, but if you are really in a crunch, even five minutes can be beneficial. And if meditation isn’t something you are comfortable with, try deep breathing exercises. You can read more on meditation in our free preview article “Finding the Right Meditation for You,” and on breathing exercises in the free preview article “The Power of Conscious Breathing.”

Here’s to starting the day of right – in a positive light!
