VIDEO: Ditch the Dirty Products (Non-Toxic Living) with Tammy Mastroberte

Living an Elevated Existence means nurturing the Mind, Body and Spirit, and when we think of “body” we often think about diet and exercise.

We drink our green juice, go to yoga or spin class, and try to eat clean.

But what about the products you are using on your body?

Your makeup, hair products, skin care, body wash and hand soap — are they raising your vibration and vitality or are they compromising your hormones, immune system and overall health?

We need to get smarter about the products we are using on our body, as the skin is the largest organ we have and it absorbs everything — good and bad.

In the below video, I share some of the top ingredients you should avoid, some non-toxic and clean products I love, a couple of apps to help you check the products you own and more!

Plus, download my Clean Beauty Worksheet for links to my favorite articles detailing what ingredients to avoid, some of my favorite non-toxic makeup, skincare and body brands, online non-toxic and clean beauty sites (that offer a variety or clean brands), and my favorite Instagram or Youtube experts on all things non-toxic!

Wild Carrot Herbals Natural Products

We recently discovered Wild Carrot Herbals, a small, family-owned and operated business in Oregon using all natural essential oils, botanicals, flower essences – basically ingredients you can recognize and pronounce – with nothing artificial, chemical or toxic. And not only are they natural and nutrient-rich, but the prices are affordable!

The company makes skincare products for the face and body, and even has a line of baby products. After trying several, which are packaged in recycled glass jars and wrapped to literally look like carrots – we fell in love with the brand!

Here are some of our favorites:

Wild Carrot Herbals Peace Cream – If you have trouble sleeping or quieting your mind in the evening, this cream is a dream. It contains essential oils to balance the mind, body and spirit, including nettle-infused oil for the adrenals. Rub it on your hands and feet, breath in the subtle fragrance and relax. 2-ounce jar; $13.99.

Vanilla Bean Skin Cream – Made for dry skin, this can be used on the face and body, and literally smells like vanilla birthday cake with buttercream frosting. It’s actually the first cream the company ever made, and contains organic coconut oil, organic and fair trade shea butter, virgin organic cocoa butter, sea buckthorn oil, and jojoba oil infused with Madagascar vanilla beans. 2-ounce jar; $10.99.

Oregon Lavender Lotion – Created with organic aloe, organic coconut oil, organic olive oil infused with yarrow flowers, organic and fair trade shea butter, and of course, Oregon-grown lavender, this lotion is both moisturizing and relaxing. 8-ounce jar; $15.99.

Lavender Honey Mask – This honey mask can be used by all skin types, but is formulated for teenage skin or acne-prone skin. Honey contains enzymes to feed the skin, while also mildly exfoliating it without being too drying. It can also be used with some of the powder masks offered by the company, including the Lavendar and Sandalwood mask. 2-ounces; $5.99

Delicious Lip Balm – Not only do they taste and smell great – our favorite is Cacao Kiss – but they are moisturizing and long-lasting. They are packed in a 100-percent recycled plastic lip balm tube, and contain organic coconut oil, natural beeswax, and organic and fair trade raw shea butter. $3 each.
