Editor’s Advice: How to Freeze Negativity

By Tammy Mastroberte

I was first introduced to Sonia Choquette by attending one of her workshops at an Omega NYC conference, and I purchased one of her best-selling books – “Trust Your Vibes: Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living,” which explains how to live as a “six-sensory being” rather than only using the five senses (the sixth one being intuition).

While reading a chapter on “Psychic Protection,” Choquette described a process for blocking negativity. The goal of the exercise, or ritual, is to block any negativity from coming toward you and actually “freeze” it. In the book, Choquette shares how she used this exercise years ago when she had someone working for her that brought a lot of negativity around her. And a day after doing the exercise, that person quit.

While I was skeptical at first, I must admit, this ritual has never let me down. Choquette learned it from a friend, and I have since shared it with many friends and family members, who have seen amazing results … so I wanted to share it with Elevated Existence readers!

Here it goes: Choquette explains to take a glass jar with a lid, fill it with water and add blue food coloring for “added protection.” Now for those of you without a glass jar on hand, I recommend using a freezer baggie because it works just as well!

Then write on a piece of paper the following:

“I freeze all negativity known or unknown moving toward me as of now.”

Add the paper to the water, close the jar lid and pop it in the freezer. That’s it. Leave the rest to the Universe to take care of, and go on with your life.

The first time I did this, it was a Sunday evening, and I remember immediately feeling a little lighter – like all my worries and stress were sealed in the jar, and I didn’t have to carry them around with me anymore. By the next morning I received a phone call I had been waiting on for weeks, and as the days continued, the people who were draining me at the time suddenly had a change of personality.

Maybe it was the physical act of setting the intention and then letting go – Choquette explains in the book that the ritual “amplifies intention.” Maybe it was just coincidence. I don’t know, but aren’t you curious enough to find out for yourself?

Oh, and a word of caution – if you are using a glass jar, don’t fill the jar all the way with water … my first one cracked in the freezer and I had a bunch of glass to clean up!

Try it and then leave me a comment to let me know how it worked!
